Exhibition - particle expression "GENSHO" by Wataru Kawashima
Wataru Kawashima who is Japanese painter, also professor at same university I work. He asked me to support something for his solo exhibition at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Tokyo with Yuriko Sasaoka(@sasaokayuriko.works)
For the exhibition, Mr. Kawashima didn't want to participate just typical type of Japanese paint, he wanted to break the norm.
First, we planned where, how much piece of paintings put using a scale model of the gallery. he made all small moquettes!
I mainly designed some fixtures such as frame and podium for the "sumi" (solid ink).
There are a lot of difficulties working with “Artists” in an art university, but sometimes it gives me really rare experience.
He is one of the few true artists I have met there.
