PROFILE
My name is Yuya Ushida.
I was born in 1975 in Nagoya Japan. Being the child of the manager of an ironworks, I was often exposed to a creative environment and always loved making things.
I gravitated toward the study of mechanical engineering. Before graduating I realized that I was more interested in making practical things that would contribute to people’s daily lives, rather than just machine parts, and therefore I decided to turn to the world of industrial design.
Becoming a designer does not only require the attention to aesthetics, but also an understanding of materials, techniques and usability aspects of the product.
The goal is to create something that make people happy. ;-)
